Ti-102
French Garland Crown
From our Aristocracy
Collection...
This is a reproduction of a circa 1900 tiara from historically world
famous French jeweler Joseph Chaumet.
The lower edge of the tiara is formed by ribbons in swags tied at
intervals into bowknots, surmounted by crystal tipped sprays. Synthetic
ruby red stones complete this stunning tiara. A must have for your
collection or for the bride using red in her wedding colors or bouquet.
Design measures
10" across and 2" high in the center, tapering down to 1" at the
ends. Side combs. Silvertone.
The original Bowknot tiara is comprised of gold, silver, topazes,
and diamonds, as pictured in Diana Scarisbrick's book, TIARA. The
combination of swags, festoons, ribbons, and bowknots is in the
18th century tradition, revived as the garland style in the Belle
Epoque era.
Joseph Chamet's designs have been coveted by royalty and celebrities.
